Filo finds balance by cleaning the structure to its maximum, yet at the same time keeping it strong, individual, unique and special. The design appears as an almost typographic letter that has character and purpose that when seen from the side. Repeated lines of fabric cord extend this graphical presence, distorting subtly as the body sits down, giving a soft, personal form to the chair. Filo works well in multiples and particularly around a rectangular table, where it creates an appealing geometry.
Filo is made with a solid beech wood frame. Its structure is designed to reduce wood wastage by finding the maximum strength from intelligent connections and construction.
