P5 Studio X Stellar Works
The launch of P5’s new studio marks another milestone for the premium furnishing retailer after the recent opening of its 8,600 square feet store along Mohammad Sultan in November 2017. P5 Studio, nestled in the heart of the hip Henderson Industrial Park with a space of 4,000 square feet, will offer rustic and eclectic furnishing options.
In partnership with leading Asian brand, Stellar Works, P5 Studio will largely feature collections from Creative Directors, Neri&Hu, internationally acclaimed design practices, Yabu Pushelberg and Space Copenhagen, alongside mid-century pieces from prolific Danish architect and designer, Vilhelm Wohlert. The collections, inspired by Asian aesthetics, heritage and craftsmanship, can be found in private residences, prestigious hotels, restaurants and public spaces around the world. Examples include Lady Bund in Shanghai, Ted Baker’s Penthouse in London and The Warehouse Hotel and Straits Clan in Singapore.
“As Stellar Works grows to become the world’s first leading global design brand from Asia, we are thrilled to work alongside P5 Studio to expand our business in one of the region’s most flourishing cities.” said CEO and Founder Yuichiro Hori
The Stellar Works Collection at P5 Studio will showcase signature designs such as The Utility Collection by Neri&Hu which incorporates a range of lounge chairs, barstools, and stools. The collection is utilitarian in its reference, while also featuring a palette of old-world and luxurious materials (solid wood complemented with brass accents and leather upholstery).
Slow, an upholstered wooden furniture series consisting of lounge chairs and tables by Space Copenhagen is a tribute to heritage and craft while remaining modern and comfortable. The pieces in this new collection feature narrow legs that elevate and support, striking a perfect balance between mid-century Danish and classic Japanese design.
The Blink Collection highlights Yabu Pushleberg playful and sculptural take on design. Though Blink has a distinct personality and distilled modernist quality, pieces from this collection can coexist or live independently amongst other styles. The materials have been selected to create considered contrasts from texture to texture and surface to surface. Stellar Works Vilhelm Wohlert vintage pieces have become icons in the design evolution of furniture for public spaces.
The Wohlert collection comprises some of his most celebrated designs of the1950s, such as the Piano Chair and the Antler Chair, have been revitalised for the modern day with each piece showcasing the Danish designer’s less-is-more ethos and talent for turning the structural into the sculptural.
Mr. Calvin Ngo, Vice President of P5 said, “The launch of P5 Studio showroom, together with our existing P5 Luminaire and recent opening of the flagship store (Molteni & C | Dada) at Mohammad Sultan will bring together P5’s full range of furnishing solutions under one roof.
